Q&A: Post-Baby Body…?

How much did your body change from being pregnant and how did you feel about your body after baby? I see alot of women who say they dislike their post baby body, and alot of women seem to keep the weight they gained if not gain more. I feel like one of the luck ones, I just had my second baby. Before any babies I weighed 98lbs…after baby I weighed 120. I was very upset for the longest time cause I had never really weighed over 100lbs. Now after my second child I now weigh 133lbs….and I am just very content with my body. I lost almost all my tummy, but I do have the big mom hips and mom arms. Is there anyway to get rid of those? And how soon after can you start working out?

i was 143 and went upto 190 lbs at 40 weeks

5 and half months later i am 164 lbs and look absolutely horrible in the mirror no matter how much my hubby assures me

  1. I was a fit and toned 154 pounds and shot up over 200 by the time I was full term. Over the last 18 months I’ve worked it down to 163 but I still have a saggy tummy and my breasts aren’t as firm. I’m not happy about the loose skin on my tummy, but no unhappy enough to let it really affect my life. You can start working out as soon as you feel you are ready, but ease into it with some post-pardum workouts. I jumped right back into amateur boxing 5 weeks after I had my daughter and that was a big mistake! It took forever to heal up because I really pushed myself hard. Be kind to yourself! Glad to hear you are content with your body. That’s all that really counts.

  2. You guys are a trip!!! I would love to have your body!!! Before I got pregnant I was 190 and when I delivered I was 303!!!! As soon as I got home, I went on a diet. I just ate soup and drank water and I got down to 250 in 8 weeks!!! When I got the green light from my doctor, then I started exercising, like walking and doing low impact tapes and got down to 220. To get rid of those hips and arms you need to tone your biceps and triceps and you hips.

    Now, I am pregnant again!!!!! Back to 230, but now I know not to eat anything that I want and how to get back into shape!!!! Good Luck!!!!

    OMG, you guys are scaring me! I am pregnant with my second child and with my first one it took me 6 months to get back to pre baby body although I got wider in my hips and they never return back to what they were before.
    I believe if you had a normal delivery, you can exercise in two weeks, if you had C-section- 6 weeks
